Week Beginning Work Completed
Summer Holidays
Monday 8th September I started creating a few ideas on one which genre I was going to
choose and secondly what the cover would look like.
Monday 15th September After a week of planning I decided to choose country music as my
genre, there for this allowed me to manipulate and nd decide on
my front cover of a individual on the front center.
Monday 22rd September This week I choose the name of my magazine. Originally I wanted
to call it ‘Country Gold’ but this came across as boring and also
the reader wouldnt get excited at it. There for I chose ‘ Root And
Toot’, I see this name as having a ring to it and also easy to
2. remember.
Monday 29th September I WAS OFF WITH SICKNESS
Monday 6th October This wee I decide to work on my colour scheme, I wanted a rustic
look to my magazine so I choose dark red with a hint of brown. I
also used the colours of the American flag in places because the
readers would recognize this.
Monday 13th October I missed this week due to rugby comitments.
Monday 20st October This week I added the main photo to my front cover. I used
earser tool in order to crop to the correct side and also make the
image look neater and more professional.
Half Term
Monday 3th November After the half term I decided to start my contents page, this is
easily the task that I found the most difficult. This was due to the
lay out. I decided to keep it simple and also orginal this is
because I didn’t want to over complicate and bunch all the text
together.
Monday 10th November This week I started araging and organizing the podtion of the
text. This allowed me to get an idea of where I want the text to be
and sizing of the text.
Monday 17th November I then started to add the photo and secondly the colour scheme, I
wanted the colour scheme to have some relationship to the front
cover but I also want some differation between the two.
Monday 24th November I missed this due to rugby comitments.
3. Monday 1nd December This week I spent cropping the photo of me ( the editor) to fit at
the bottom of my page and also started to add some text in order
to welcome the readers.
Monday 8th December I then started to edit the title on the contents page in order to use
my own custom text which looks like a country themed text.
Monday 15th December I missed this due to rugby comitments.
Christmas Holidays
Monday 5th January This week coming back from Christmas I moved on to my double
page spread.
Monday 12th January My first task was to take the photo of Tom and edit it and place it
in the middle of the two pages. I then typed the interview on
word.
Monday 19th January This week I added the text to the double page spread. I had to
move it around in order to fit on the page and use both sides.
Monday 9th February After this I then added my title and subtitle. In the correct
postion.
Monday 16th February This week I realized that the text was all the wrong size and
colours, this lead to the double page spread looking bunched and
ugly.
Monday 23 February This week was my final week so I decided to spend this week
touching up any ruff edges on photos and just making it looking
more professional
