Objectives of the program
MFI can be seen as a place
where youngsters learn to
develop
• their social skills,
• their professional aspirations
• and their personal objectives
MFI includes :
•A “life project”
•A guidance to identify one’s future
professional interest
•Learning about the rules of the
community
•The acquisition of basic academic
knowledge
•The acquisition of basic knowledge to
enter a vocational program and become
a worker in a business

Duration
4 weeks to 6 months

A full time guide
All the teachers of the sections
CPMS (centre psycho-medico social) incl. 1
psychologist
Content
19 periods / week
4 periods of general courses
(French +maths)
2 periods of dedicated guidance
3 x 4 periods (or more) in the elected section

1 interview at the CPMS / 2 weeks

Visits to relevant organizations, various
recurrent and one-off activities

•to obtain a degree (vocational or

E-COP – Project no. 167127-LLP-1-2009-1-IT-KA1-KA1ECETB Kick-off meeting, Milan, February 25 and 26, 2010 3 Objectives of the program MFI can be seen as a place where youngsters learn to develop • their social skills, • their professional aspirations • and their personal objectives MFI includes : •A “life project” •A guidance to identify one’s future professional interest •Learning about the rules of the community •The acquisition of basic academic knowledge •The acquisition of basic knowledge to enter a vocational program and become a worker in a business

E-COP – Project no. 167127-LLP-1-2009-1-IT-KA1-KA1ECETB Kick-off meeting, Milan, February 25 and 26, 2010 4 Organization of the program Duration 4 weeks to 6 months Average 8 weeks Staff involved A full time guide All the teachers of the sections CPMS (centre psycho-medico social) incl. 1 psychologist Content 19 periods / week 4 periods of general courses (French +maths) 2 periods of dedicated guidance 3 x 4 periods (or more) in the elected section + 1 interview at the CPMS / 2 weeks + Visits to relevant organizations, various recurrent and one-off activities + Role play, simulations, discussion groups, case studies Location In the sites of the section – on school campus
