4. Quality
Assurance
Advantage Healthcare has comprehensive internal quality assurance systems which are continually reviewed and
monitored to ensure we provide the NHS with a service that is not only highly dependable, but also ensures that
the well being of your patients is our main priority.
Our Clinical Governance team comprises over 30 Nurse Specialists, Regional Nurses, Branch Nurses and Quality and
Development Managers, operating at all levels of our business.
Clinical Nurse Specialists
Our Clinical Nurse Specialists are part of a dedicated team of qualified professionals who offer clinical support and
guidance to our Nurses working within the NHS. The Clinical Nurse Specialists’ experience and qualifications cover a
wide range of clinical specialties.
Quality and Development Managers
Our Quality and Development Managers ensure that we only supply the highest quality staff by implementing
rigorous internal quality assurance systems, which they continually review and monitor. All of our workers are
compliant with the Buying Solutions Framework and Care Quality Commission regulations.
Branch Nurses
Our Branch Nurses conduct all interviews for our Nurses seeking to work in the NHS, they are the only members of
the Branch team that are authorised to evaluate the applicants’ skills and experience. They provide a knowledge
base for our NHS Consultants advising on the suitability for each worker to deliver care on a specific ward or unit.
In conjunction with our external and internal audit procedures, all Advantage Healthcare branches conduct regular
client visits and routine checks on the staff we supply to ensure full compliance with all regulatory standards and
best practice. We also seek regular feedback from our clients to ensure all staff are performing at optimum levels,
at all times.
5. Our Model
Layers of Support
Our model is designed to fully support both NHS staff banks and individual wards. It ensures a safe and sustainable
service is delivered by our healthcare professionals, with the support of our Clinical Governance and Branch teams.

6. Our
Training
A strong focus on continued staff training and development is central in our pursuit of excellence. A thorough
assessment of each worker’s training requirements is undertaken by the Branch Nurse, specifically identifying key
tasks that the worker will be required to undertake as part of their role within the NHS. Workers who are successful
at interview are required to complete our Agency Worker Training Programme, which includes mandatory training.
Initially driven by NHS requirements, our accredited Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and Royal
College of Nursing (RCN) online training programme, which is supported by instructor-led classroom based training,
must be successfully completed by all workers. The online training combines Common Induction Standards for both
Adults (Skills for Care) and Children (Children’s Workforce Development Council) and supports the Quality Credit
Framework (QCF) Level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Health and Social Care.
To comply with our quality assurance processes, each worker must achieve a 100% pass rate in both the online and
instructor-led training before being considered for a role within Advantage Healthcare. Thereafter, our workers are
required to maintain their compliance annually and are notified automatically by our Learning Management System
when their training requires renewal.
The table below demonstrates the stringent training programme that our workers are required to complete.

9. Additional
Benefits
Cost-Effective Quality Service
We understand the increasing demand on NHS Trusts to obtain maximum value for money from their budgets.
Whether you are involved in an NHS staff bank, procurement department, or work directly on a ward, there is
always a requirement to save money without compromising patient safety and best working practice.
Advantage Healthcare works in partnership with the NHS to assist in reductions on agency spend, whilst maintaining
an unrivalled frontline service. Our rates are continually reviewed to ensure our clients continue to receive the
most cost-effective service that we can provide, whilst maintaining quality of service.
Out-of-Hours Service
We provide all of our clients with a comprehensive out-of-hours service that enables us to fulfill your staffing
requirements at any time of the day or night.
Our out-of-hours service is delivered by Advantage Healthcare employees who have access to the same worker and
client information as our branches. This enables our team to provide you with the continuity of staff that is the key
to successful service delivery.
Supplying to National Health Service Professionals
We work in partnership with National Health Service Professionals (NHSP) for a variety of NHS Trusts and have
access to WorkFlow through the NHSP web browser, therefore allowing us to fill shifts that NHSP are unable to
cover.
Continuing Care at Home
Advantage Healthcare is also a specialist provider of continuing healthcare services, offering a flexible home-based
alternative to hospital or residential care. This service, delivered by Qualified Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and
Support Workers, will enable your Trust to free up much needed bed space for patients cleared to be released from
hospital, whilst having the peace of mind that their healthcare requirements are still being met.
