The Hearing Angel program is set up so
individuals like you can make a contribution
to help a children hear. As with any charity,
small amounts add up to have a huge
impact.
And, of course, this principle applies to helping people hear again.
The Starkey Foundation covers all of the travel expenses for
hearing aid dispensers, audiologists, doctors and support crews
required for each mission The Hearing Angel gives you the
opportunity to directly contribute to the "gift of better hearing"
for a child.
Through the Sound Matters campaign, Starkey Hearing
Foundation is raising social awareness of healthy hearing,
prevention of hearing damage, and regular hearing check-ups.
Along with entertainers, athletes, celebrities, politicians, and
others that are promotional partners who have joined the cause,
we hope to change the way people think about hearing, the joy of
listening, and the many ways that"sound matters".
SoundMatters.org is fats-becoming the go-to-site for information
about hearing health, loss prevention, and hearing care. Materials
and technology are provided to educate your friends, children,
grandchildren, students, and members of clubs and organizations
about a subject that will play a significant role in their long-term
happiness – hearing, and hearing well.

efforts. No one in the world even comes close to helping more
people improve their lives than the Starkey Hearing Foundation,
traveling around the globe every month to deliver hearing to
children who need to hear better – many of whom have never
heard before!
Bill Austin, Founder of the organization, says, "Giving the gift of
hearing to a child does more than just help them hear. It gives
them back the ability to learn.
More importantly, it gives each child something better:their
dignity. They are able to participate and contribute instead of
being a liability."
