years ago tablets were for high profile
consumers in the U.S. Now, tablets like iPads
are in high demand in China, U.K., Japan and
in other countries.

electronics for cash just to get the touch
experience that the tablet PC can create. But
apart from the new technological experience,
the tablet PC also created a battle for all kinds
of portable platforms including the laptop.

tablet in 1999, people have known the
tablet PC as the expensive toy that is
good for multimedia viewing (e.g. movie
watching, music playing, internet

only for people who have a lot of time left
in their daily schedules for playing.
Today, however, the tablet PC is proving
to be a strong desktop and laptop
competitor even in the enterprise and
business setting.

 In fact a study in 2011 showed that almost 72
percent of enterprises and business in
America use tablets. What for? Sixty-two
percent of the respondents of the study said
they use their tablet PC in the office several
times a day and the most common use is to
check their emails every once in a while (37
percent of responders). Meanwhile, tablets
are becoming handier for office people and
executives with 13 percent of the
respondents saying they use their tablets for
giving presentations and 8 percent says they
use it for taking notes during meetings.

 The tablet is increasingly becoming a
reason for people to sell laptops for cash
because of so many advantages
including mobility. The most important
and beneficial characteristic of the tablet
PC is that it is very easy to carry around.
I wouldn't need big, bulky laptop bags to
take my tablet with me, all I need is a
trusty and durable leather case and I can
easily put it in my tote bag, and 31
percent of the respondents of the study
agree with this.

 The size of this mobile device also makes it more
desirable over the laptop because it ranges from
only 7 inches to 10 inches at max. It's also very
light. Most tablets barely weigh a pound as
compared with a heavy 3 pounds (minimum)
laptop. But probably the best part about the
tablet is that it's easier to use (via non-complex
UI, OS and apps) and it is more interactive than
a laptop. A tablet owner can also enjoy a more
tactile and controllable experience with a full
screen to work on. But that's also a weakness for
this portable device. Selling used laptops for an
expensive tablet that can easily break isn't really
a smart thing to do (especially if you're a clumsy
person by nature). Dropping your tablet and
breaking its screen will render this portable
device useless.
