6. PREFACE
The Company we have selected is “Mobilink GSM”, a well-known &
well-established cellular company in Pakistan. Because we are asked to
take it on micro level so we will see the implementation of porter’s five
forces in a Mobilink GSM Franchise. As we have studied the porter five
forces in detail, but when we saw the practical implementation of these
forces, some of them were very common and easily understandable, but
some of them are not that simple. The group members visited the
Mobilink GSM Franchise and saw the practical implementation of porter’s
five forces.

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
All Praises be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, the Beneficent and
the Merciful. Owner of the Day of Judgment, Thee (alone) we worship;
Thee alone we ask for help. Show us the straight path, the path of those
whom Thou hast favored; Not (the path) of those who earn Thine anger
nor of those who astray.
(Al-Quran)
We are very thankful to ALLAH. It is because of His grace that
enabled us to accomplish this project, otherwise it might not possible for

8. ABOUT THE COMPANY
Mobilink GSM the Largest Cellular Company in Pakistan.
Mobilink GSM (PMCL), a subsidiary of Orascom Telecom, is the market
leader in providing state-of-the-art communications solutions to over 4
million people in Pakistan. They can proudly boast of being the first cellular

10. JUSTIFICATION
(1) Suppliers:- The supplier factor is stable & simple as they are running a
franchise so they are bound to sell only Mobilink GSM products such as
connections of Mobilink GSM & cell phones etc. so they have only one
supplier about whom they are fully aware.
(2) Customer: - The customer factor is complex & dynamic because the
customers are increasing rapidly, so this is impossible for them to have full
information about their customer & it’s dynamic because of the rapid
change in customer that are increasing day by day.
(3) Competitors (I) The competitor factor is simple & dynamic. Simple
because they have full information about their competitors (Rivals) &
dynamic because there is so much competition amongst them.
(4) Competitors (II) Here the competitor factor is dynamic & complex,
dynamic because new companies are in the process of entering in the
market & complex because all information about these companies is not
available, therefore the fore-coming market is unpredictable.
(5) Employees: - The factor employees, is simple & stable because they
are fully aware of them and there is not much change. (On Micro Level)
(6) Pressure groups- The pressure group as such does not exist still they
have the threat from PTML (Ufone) that if they linked their Cellular system
with their telephones so it can destroy others business such as Mobilink,
Insta & Paktel. But this is a virtual threat, as in real they can’t do so.
10
11. CONCLUSION
On the basis of above analysis & after seeing the practical
implementation of those forces we can say that this company has a
bright future and the people (employees) are working hard to provide
customers good services & that’s the reason that today Mobilink GSM is
the largest cellular company of Pakistan.
