2. Age Range
Our production is aimed at audiences aged
between 15-35.This is because they are more
likely to be in some form of similar situations,
and they would understand the humour
better.
3. Gender
We are concentrating on
making the film appealing
for both genders, as the
issue concerns both, and can
be related toby bothmales
and females alike.The film is
about the quest of a teenage
boy trying to loose his
virginity, a problem face by
both genders, who’ll find it
equally ashumorous by the
way we have played on the
term “Big Boy”.
4. BBFC
The film is a 15 because it is only
suitable, and relevant for 15
years olds and over.The film
contains no bad language, and
no nudity, but much more
mature humorous material and
sensitive themes more suitable
for an older audience.
We do not loose out on much
potential audience with this
higher age rating, as younger
audiences wouldn’tbe as
interested in the film as they
cannot connect to it.
5. Socio-economic group
The socio economic target audience for
us is C1, C2, D and E.
Thesegroups are the unemployed,
students, all forms of manual laborers,
junior managerial and the supervisory.
These are people who would find the
humor in this, and would be able to
relate and understand it more. Many of
them would be of similar and in our
target age range.
6. Similar films:
A film which shares many
similarities with our film, is
“American Pie”. Much like our film,
the characters are also in the
pursuit of loosing their virginity.
The film had a target audience of
mid teens and above, and as it has
a similar plot to our film we felt
the target audience we chose was
suitable.
Due to the sexual context and
language chosen by the producers
of this film it was also rated 15.
