• e-Government is the delivery of government
  services and information to the public using
  electronic means. In other words, it is the use of ICT
  to promote more efficient government by allowing
  better access to information and making government
  more accountable to citizens;

  necessary burden of governance from the shoulders
  of citizens and businesses;

• Ensuring Process Consistency. Most companies
  and public organizations have great difficulty in defining
  their business processes. One group may define it one
  way, while others may define it very differently.
• Optimizing Business Processes. It is impossible
  to optimize business processes if organization cannot
  define them. Well defined processes could be changed
  and measured for the results.
• Automating Cumbersome Manual Processes.
  Automation is only effective when applied to efficient
  operations.
