The East End Foundation, a Texas 501(c)(3) is proud to announce the
inaugural Wicked East End Music Showcase benefiting Houston’s East
End Cultural District. Houston’s East End was named the city’s fifth
cultural district in October of 2014. http://www.eastendfoundation.org
The Wicked East End Music Showcase is funded in part by the City of Houston
through Houston Arts Alliance. http://www.houstonartsalliance.com/
As authorized by H.B. 2208 of the 79th Legislature, the Texas
Commission on the Arts (TCA) can designate cultural districts in
cities across Texas. Cultural districts are special zones that harness
the power of cultural resources to stimulate economic
development and community revitalization. These districts can
become focal points for generating businesses, attracting tourists,
stimulating cultural development and fostering civic pride.

In order to execute our organization’s goals, which are directly in line with The State of Texas’
recognition of the East End Cultural District, The Wicked East End Music Showcase is focused not only on
creating a compelling event for the community and general visiting public, but on actively promoting our
host venues, our performing artists, and our diverse volunteer crews.
For the venues:
Increased visibility through our event; increased traffic; social networking; profit sharing; residual
relationships with attendees.
For the artists:
Increased visibility through our event pages; meaningful live audiences; digital promotional material for
use after the event; social networking “bumps” during their set; guaranteed fees.
For our crew:
Resume-building opportunities through our management team and LinkedIn.com; short volunteer shifts
to enable participation in the fun; credited photo, video, and audio content for use in their respective
portfolios, and cross-promotion on our web sites, as well as artist and venue websites; mentoring
before, during, after the event for interested crew members
For the general public:
One of Houston’s largest music showcases – EVER; accessible pricing: Pre-event = $4.00 per
venue/”day-of” = $6.00 per venue for a 9 hour live music festival; free parking; $10.00 shuttle between
the main parking lot and venues; $10.00 bike rentals till sunset – with FREE shuttle use after bike return;
diverse venue food and drink items supplemented by food trucks
For our sponsors:
Association with a vibrant event with anticipated staff/crew of over 150, conservative attendance of
500+ fans (1,000 tickets on sale now); logos on our websites; cross-promotional opportunities; benefits
detailed in our packets – and creative options seriously considered; long-term relationship beyond 2016
(discussing 2017 commitments now); growing vision for the future – more venues, more artists, more
event days!
