The students developed an app for the client's organization that achieved the agreed upon goals. While they worked hard and regularly communicated progress, each student could have focused more on developing their own relationship with the client to improve understanding of their unique roles. They were innovative and flexible in solving technical challenges. The students showed initiative in adapting to project challenges and brought forward their own solutions. For professional development, the client advises each student focus more on proactive communication, such as emailing about their specific responsibilities, to strengthen individual relationships and understanding of contributions.

1. AAppendix A TEAM OR INDIVIDUAL STUDENT - CLIENT FEEDBACK
Name of Client and organisation:
Name of Student/s:
Thank you for acting as client for this Research and Development Project. Now that the project is nearing
completion we would like some feedback that will assist the team or students in their future development.
It is important that we gain feedback about the aspects of the work that were done well and also
suggestions for improvement. Please comment the team as a whole and where it is possible the individual
students.
This feedback will be used by the assessors to complete a picture of the student’s performance during the
project, and by the students to reflect on their performance during the project and in assessing their
future development needs.
Please email the completed feedback to the project supervisor.
THE PROJECT
Could you please comment on the results of the project? To what extent did the student/s achieve

The project is near completion and version #1 is expected to go live on google app store before
students finish the year. The students stayed on task throughout the project and Aida coordinated
regular meetings to keep us updated re progress on the project. It was agreed early on that the
scope of work was to broad to realistically complete this year and developmental ideas were likely to
continue to come up. The main target was to get the Bucket Model on the Think feel act app and
measures for thoughts feelings and body signs working in a user friendly way by the course
completion. This has been done.
If each member were to focus more on building their own working relationship with the client so the
client understands more clearly their own unique role in the project that would be helpful.
The students have been working hard and have regularly sought to clarify anything they were
uncertain of. They have been innovative and have added a few of their own ideas and suggestions
re what may work well. We haven't had time to run a full testing and appraisal of the apps
functionality so we can iron out any bugs. This will need to be followed through by the next team.
2. HHow did the student/s contribute added value or provide professional expertise to your
organisation?
In what ways did the student/s show initiative in learning about the wider aspects of IT
professional practice?
PEOPLE SKILLS
In what ways did the student/s adapt to the situation and develop and maintain professional
working relationships appropriate to your organisation?
In what ways did the student resolve conflicts and manage and deliver to the sponsor’s
expectations?
OVERALL SKILLS
How did the students’ skills and abilities develop during the project?
Whenever there was a problem the students sought to clarify issues and were very respectful friendly and
cooperative. They took a very flexible approach and would come up with there own ideas and solutions.
As an organisation we were wanting to see a new idea developed that would provide a useful self
care resource to the general public. We did not have the technical knowledge to make this happen.
The students applied themselves to solve the technical challenges that arose in the interface between
the ideas themselves and the science and maths problems that arose from it, to make it work.
The students followed there own research ideas to gather the needed data to ensure the app could be
developed in a timely manner.
The regular organisation of meetings and the flexibility around days and times for these events was
highly appreciated as they then did not interfere with the flow of business.
They showed a lot of initiative in adapting to the project challenges and brought forward their own
ideas as solutions to the challenges as they arose.
3. WWhat advice would you offer this team or each of these students for their professional
development?

Thank you for taking the time to complete this feedback form
As English is a second language it can be tempting to leave communication to the one student who appears
most confident, this I believe is a mistake as I would have liked each student to be a little more proactive in
there role in communicating, perhaps by email the particular aspects they were taking responsibility for. This
would have helped me to understand each role individually and what they were each working on. Focus on
communication would be a good thing for professional development.
