The Hinduism has got almost 1 billion of confessors, and is third
biggest religion in the world as far as the believers are concerned.
There are a lot of hindu fractions, differing in both beliefs about the
God as well as with practice. But the followers are joined together by:
Respect for holy scriptures - Wed
Faith in the reincarnation
Faith in the law of action and reaction (karma)
Aspiration for the deliverance
3. Hinduism is worshiped mainly in
India. Indians have their own
customs and traditions. Hinduism
is one of the oldest organized
religions - their sacred literature
was created in 1400 - 1500 BC.
Indians believe in many gods. But
they have one and the most
powerful - Braham.

4. Festivals
As India celebrates many traditions they differ
depending on the region. Even the beginning of the
New Year does not fall on the same time - for some it is
in October, the other one falls on April.
5. Hindu temples
The temples are beautiful and richly
decorated. Indians often pray to
Braham. Buildings look like palaces.
They are often dome or tower shaped.
TEMPLES
6. People during the ceremony wear traditional costumes. Weddings in
Hinduism look a bit different than ours. People are different and so are
the traditions.
Hindu wedding ceremony may take several days. The bride assumes a
red or a white dress. Tradition is also making henna tattoos.
