BERO™ Biosurfactant Technology Introduction

1.Appearance and color: brown (tawny) semitransparent concentrated liquid
with the smell of enzyme;
2. Main components: polymeric biological enzyme, stabilizer and water;
3.PH value: 5-7 (sometimes slightly acidic);
4. Density: 1g/cm3

5. Solubility: completely soluble in water, compatible with sewage with any
salinity and insoluble in oil;
6. Boiling point: 100o
C;
7. It is biologically degradable and will not corrode or pollute facilities (such as
pipes) and surrounding environment, so it is an environmentally friendly
product;
8. It is harmless to human and animals;
9. Temperature resistance: ≤220o
C.

reaction without participating in the reaction and is characterized by high
reaction efficiency, mild reaction condition, small pollution of reaction product,

low energy consumption, easily controlled reaction, etc. Therefore, it is widely
recognized and applied in various fields of modern science and technology by
the scientific community.
BERO™ biosurfactant is a polymeric biological enzyme and as a water-soluble
product, it can efficiently release hydrocarbon on the surfaces of solid particles
in reservoir. After being injected into the formation, due to activity, it can adhere
to rock surface for a long time to change the property of rock formation into
hydrophilic biological surface, reduce wetting angle and the interfacial tension
of rock particles in reservoir, thereby reducing the flowing resistance of crude
oil in reservoir pores; meanwhile, due to biological degradation effect, BERO™
biosurfactant will continuously deform and split oil drops until oil drops are
released from rock formation, thus not only being able to loosen the crude oil
of retention layer, but also making oil drops become smaller and more easily
exude through the pores of rock formation until they are recovered. Since
enzyme will form a kind of mild emulsion composed of oil, water, enzyme,
enzyme-based ferment, etc. The emulsion can resist against, contact and
change the retention layer, thereby achieving the effect of cleaning, injection
reducing and oil displacement and improving oil recovery rate. Meanwhile, it
will not produce other new product, so it will not plug pores or cause secondary
pollution.

Interaction mechanism of BERO™biosurfactant and pollutants
 BERO™ biosurfactant is mixed with pollutants to form enzyme-oil
complex;
 The enzyme-oil complex decomposes into enzyme-oil intermediate and
solid particles are separated out;
 Enzyme-oil intermediate decomposes into crude oil and independent
components of BERO™ biosurfactant and BERO™ biosurfactant resumes
to its original state.
(Part of BERO™ biosurfactant is adsorbed on solids to lower the interfacial
tension and surface tension of solids and make solids become hydrophilic.)
It can be seen from the above biological reaction that the reaction process of
BERO™ biosurfactant is a biological reaction process, and completely
different from chemical and bacteria, it directly acts on pollutants and will not
change the properties of crude oil or produce any new ramification.
Theoretically speaking, it will not be consumed. Therefore, BERO™
biosurfactant will work forever once it exists.

Before the application of BERO™ biosurfactant, crude oil is trapped in porous
sandstone and water flooding force also cannot displace the crude oil retained
