3. INTRODUCTION
A WORD FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Big changes have been taking place in our country since the
‘Jasmin Revolution’ and we are expecting new beginnings to
get Tunisia out of the crisis back to when we welcomed almost
7 million visitors a year until to 2009-2010.
Yadis Hotels group is an important private enterprise in the Tunisian
tourist industry, which has 8 hotels, 3 integrated Spas, ‘Menzel El Khir’
a luxury boutique hotel in Djerba, and an upmarket Berber campsite in
the Sahara Desert. Tour Operators, online operators and MICE
agencies featuring Tunisia market all these establishments.
Yadis Hotels Tunisie has always invested in innovation and
development. The group prides itself on never giving up on the quality
of its service, products and improvement. Thus building the new 5*
ultra ‘All Inclusive’ hotel carried on in Djerba in 2011, inspite of it
being a difficult year, this will open on 14 July 2012 as the Yadis
Imperial Beach & Spa Resort (475 rooms). Similarly, the Yadis Tozeur
will reopen in 2012 as a four star hotel.
One of the latest acquisitions by the group is the luxury desert
campsite in the oasis of Ksar Ghilane in the Tunisian South East.
Yadis Hotels Tunisie is determined to continue innovating therefore
putting all its chances on its side.
Jalel Bouricha

The Yadis Hotels Group includes several 3* and 5* hotels as well as

Yadis Hotels Tunisie’s offers cover a large spectrum of themes:

ThalaSpa
Over the years the group has evolved and adapted its products to
meet its ever-changing clients’ needs (the French market represents
around 35% of its total clientele) and is currently an architect in the
reconstruction of the tourism industry in Tunisia while tentatively
awaiting the ratification of the Open Skies Agreement (Transavia,
Tunisair, Aigle Azur…).
The group has also set up an online travel agency ‘Traveltodo’ for its
Tunisian and Moroccan clients and intends to uplift its website
www.yadis.com to meet with current booking trends.
The head office is located in Tunis and since September 2010, a new

III- OUR THEMES
GOLF
Golf courses in Tunisia are of high standard and found in scenic
locations: by the sea, in forests and even sand dunes!
8
9. IN DJERBA:
Djerba Golf Club was designed by the English architect Martin
Hawtree; 18 holes (par 73, 6 169 m) and 9 holes (par 36, 2 242 m)
spread over 120 hectares in sand dunes and nestled between palm
trees and the sea. Fairways are no larger than 40 m.
Yadis Djerba Golf Thalasso & Spa offers special rates to its clientele all
year round on green fees, the course being minutes away from the
hotel.
IN TOZEUR:
Designed by Ronald Fream, this course is spread over 25 hectares and
surrounded by palm trees blending into its own natural surroundings.
At the gate of the desert between dunes and palm groves the course
has 18 holes (to be extended to 36 holes) of international class for
players looking for a challenge.
Yadis Tozeur is 2 kms away from the course and in the immediate
vicinity of the Medina and souks.
IN TABARKA:
Tabarka Golf Course is spread over 118 hectares of eucalyptus, oak
and pine forests; this golf course has links of 6306 m, 18 holes, par 72
(to be extended to 27 holes) all in a lusciously green landscape.
It is one of the rarest courses in the world to have 7 greens by the sea
(the course even goes over inlets in the sea). Designed by Ronald
Fream, it is reminiscent of Cypress Point Club in California.
Yadis Morjane is minutes away from the club.
IN HAMMAMET:
Golf Citrus is the second golf course in Hammamet and is the most
popular course in Tunisia. Positioned around forts and set in 173
hectares of olive groves, Golf Citrus has two championship courses 18
holes par 72 ‘La Foret’ (6 128 m) and ‘Les Oliviers’ (6 069 m) with an
added 9 hole compact executive course (par 28, 1 221 m). It has the
biggest driving ranges in Tunisia, 5 pitching greens and 5 putting
greens.
9
10. Yasmin Golf course has been open since 1990 and is located on a hill
between the sea and the forest.
Thanks to its vast teeing areas and its numerous tee offs, this 18 hole
golf course (par 72, 6 062 m) and 9 hole practice is suitable for all
levels. Yasmin Golf is managed by the Magic Life group.
Yadis Hammamet is only a few kilometres from both the Citrus and
Yasmin golf courses and 1 hour drive away from Sousse-Kantaoui and
Monastir courses.
SPA & THALASSO
Yadis Hotels has recently developed a new concept of wellbeing
‘ThalaSpa’. Today, we would like to emphasise the authenticity of our
heritage by offering a welcome and treatments inspired by our
traditions.
This is why each of the centres responds to their guests’ individual
wishes by offering a selection of treatments based on those wishes, as
well as traditional ‘thalasso’ treatments. These are:
‘traditional wishes’: natural beauty treasures
‘far away wishes’: world massages (oriental, asian…)
‘beauty and escapism wishes’: unique Thal’ion experience
‘flash wishes’: tailor made, no constraints, to relish in the moment
IN DJERBA:
Yadis Djerba Golf Thalasso & Spa has 6 different areas with each
dedicated to specific treatments (reception, shape & relaxation,
returning to traditional roots, wellbeing, beauty and seduction..)
Its thalassotherapy centre can accommodate 150 people a day for
general treatments (slimming, back, rheumatism…) and specialist
treatments for golfers, mothers and babies... The centre is always
sunny and guests have direct access to it from their hotel rooms.
Yadis Imperial Beach & Spa Resort will have a Spa built in different
styles of architecture from traditional Djerbian to modern. It is due to
open on 14 July 2012 and its ThalaSpa will have 3 levels, 6 areas with
different themes and will be situated at the heart of the resort.
10
11. IN TOZEUR:
The Yadis Tozeur Spa will open in 2012 occuping 2 floors with 3
different areas designed in typical local architecture:
1 ‘Shape & Relaxation’: 1 swimming pool with different activities on
offer, 1 sauna, 1 hammam with two rooms for peelings and 1 fitness
room.
1 ‘Beauty and Escapism’: 1 double room with Jacuzzi, 6 massage and
beauty rooms including 3 rooms with bath jets.
1 ‘relaxation’ area: 1 herbal tea bar on a separate level.
MICE & GROUPS
In DJERBA:
The Island of Djerba is ideal for greeting groups and organising MICE
events: treasure hunts, mini Olympiads, diner in a marquis on the
banks of the ‘Laguna’, night in a bivouac in the desert, sea trips to the
port of Houmt Souk, island tour…
Yadis Djerba Golf Thalasso & Spa has become a local reference thanks
to its extensive experience and its flexibility. The hotel has hosted
groups of 350 delegates from LU, CITROEN,
UPSA, SPIE, CLAAS in its plenary room, VIP lounge and committee
room for 70 pax and its 4 sub-committee rooms (20-40 pax).
Yadis Imperial beach & Spa Resort which will open in July 2012 will
add to this capacity and enable larger congresses and gala events to
take place.
To reach Menzel El Khir, 5 mins from Yadis Djerba, guests can take a
horse and cart or go by 4 wheel-drive. With a capacity ranging
between 15 to 500 people, this charming guest house has been the
perfect setting for many traditional private Berber parties, trendy
evenings with Djs and even Sons & Lumieres displays.
IN HAMMAMET:
The Yadis hotel has a multipurpose meeting room of 375 m2 suitable
for any MICE event (conference, banquet…) and can accommodate
between 250 and 300 people.
11
12. SOUTHERN SAHARA:
Yadis Oasis Kebili on the edge of the desert (90 km from Tozeur and
30 km from Douz) offers a completely unique and different setting for
organising congresses, seminars and hosting special groups. Similarly
to Yadis Tozeur, the hotel in Kebili is one of the most appreciated
locations by those who wish to organise an incentive trip to Tunisia.
The hotel has a multipurpose conference room amphitheatre style that
can hold up to 300 delegates, audiovisual equipment as well as a
meeting room for 50 people.
Built in 1923, Yadis Oasis Tozeur is a historical building located in the
city centre. It has a multipurpose conference room with a VIP lounge
that can hold 300 guests and a meeting room for 30 delegates. It is
the ideal place for MICE and group organisers with its local
architecture, its own oasis and its distinctive decor.
IV- CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
The ITC training centre
Yadis Hotels Tunisie International Training Centre (ITC) is located in
the centre of Djerba’s tourist area, near the Yadis Djerba Golf Thalasso
& Spa hotel. The centre accepts and trains all students interested in
the tourism and hospitality sector; Yadis Hotels Tunisie have priority
over the recruitment of graduates.
Training areas: Tourism – Hospitality – Catering
Yadis Hotels Tunisie participates in the United Nations Global
Compact Programme
Yadis Hotels Tunisie was the first hotel chain in Tunisia to adhere to
Global Compact on 15 May 2006.
This scheme is for businesses that have committed to aligning their
operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in
the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Thousands of stakeholders who are signatories come from over 100
12
13. countries around the world.
The Ten Principles of the Global Compact are:
1. Support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed
human rights
2. Make sure the company is not complicit in human rights abuses
3. Uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of
the right to collective bargaining
4. Eliminate all forms of forced or compulsory labour
5. Abolish child labour
6. Eliminate discrimination in respect of employment and occupation
7. Apply a precautionary approach to environmental challenges
8. Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental
responsibility
9. Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally
friendly technologies
10. Work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and
bribery
Being a responsible hotelier
The environment is the pillar of sustainable development and therefore
of the group’s policy. Well aware of the impact the tourism industry
has on the environment, Yadis Hotels makes every effort to reduce its
own impact by putting into place various initiatives such as the
optimisation of water sourcing and energy consumption.
Owning its properties rather than managing or franchising others’
allows Yadis Hotels to have a more efficient growth model and the
group to have tighter and more sustainable links with local
communities and local environments.
Since 2007 Yadis has opted for a strategy based on a progressive
auditing system. The group has therefore started an audit of its water
resources and has shown an interest in producing and using
unconventional hydraulic resources.
To put this strategy into practice, all properties have undergone an
energy audit in order to reduce the excessive use of energy.
The following initiatives have been taken in the last two years:
- Planning to install solar panels in 6 hotels currently using gas
13
14. - Installation of a used water purification plant and the reuse of this
water for Yadis Djerba Golf Thalasso & Spa gardens
- Use of energy saving bulbs
- Installation of water saving devices on all taps and shower heads
- Planning to install a seawater desalination plant for Yadis Djerba
- A feasibility study is underway for the installation of stabilisers to
reduce electricity consumption and to protect equipment
- Planning to install a water purification plant to reuse laundry water in
Yadis Djerba Golf Thalasso & Spa
Finally, to be able to control the direct and indirect impacts Yadis
hotels have on the environment, the group has applied for the
environmental ISO Certification ISO 14001 for both its Hammamet and
Djerba properties.
As such:
- The hotel in Djerba has been chosen as a pilot project by the
National Agency for Energy Savings (ANME) to launch a project using
solar energy to heat water.
- The group is part of the first 4 Tunisian hotels signatories in 2007 of
a convention with the CITET (International Centre of Environmental
Technologies in Tunis) allowing it to take part in a pilot project to
obtain organic certification (Tunisian ecolabel).
- Yadis Djerba Golf Thalasso & Spa 5* was rewarded in 2011 when it
received a ‘Blue Flag’ for its beach.
