Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:
Manages, directs and organizes restaurant operations to maintain high standards of food and beverage
quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.
DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES
 Reports to F&B manager;
 Involves and supervises daily operations of the restaurant;
 Prioritizes, schedules, assigns, trains, reviews and evaluates
restaurant staff's performance;
 Participates with management team to, plan, develop and
implement long and short term goals;
 Monitors daily restaurant operation and ensure consistency of
services;
 Delegates and oversees bartending, kitchen supervision and
table service duties;
 Develop and implement up selling procedure for restaurant.
 Resolves problems encountered in performance of work
assignments;
 Participate in the development of the annual budget for the
restaurant; develop short and long term financial operating
plans.
 Attend mandatory meetings including divisional meetings,
departmental meetings, staff meetings, etc.
 Participate in Manager on Duty coverage program, which may
require occasional weekend stay overs.
 Participate in community public relations for the restaurant and
the hotel.
 Utilize traditional software programs such as Word, Excel,
Publisher, PowerPoint and/or Outlook Express. [If required,
then able moved to "Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability"
section.]
 In emergencies, perform in the capacity of any position
supervised.
 Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or
required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS  Aware of U.A.E health, food handling and liquor laws, rules
and regulations;
 Familiar with department policies and procedures;
 Knowledge of restaurant and bar operation and supervision
techniques;
 Skills of computer software; (eg. MS office, Micros)
 Aware of restaurant equipment repair and maintenance
procedures and methods;
 Skill in effective oral and written communication;
 Training a variety of restaurant staff;
 Assigning and delegating duties to staff;
 Pricing and comparing restaurant services and menu items with
competitors;
 Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
with team & other department.
