Why David Sharpe Should Wear Deodorant….

So here’s a quick fun post about what it’s like to meet the co-owner of Empower Network and why he should wear deodorant.
But let me back up and share a story with you…

I received an email from David on a Tuesday night saying that if I was ANYWHERE near Tampa to join him for a mastermind
•
session at the Doubletree Tampa Hilton on Thursday night.
Ummm, I live in Las Vegas. That’s near to Tampa, right?
Surely he gave me plenty of advance notice, I mean it’s only today days out…
…ACROSS THE FREAKING COUNTRY!
As luck would have it, I was already flying down to Orlando for a marketing event for that Friday. This was definitely one of
those times when flying on Southwest Airlines REALLY PAYS OFF!
With no change fees and an available flight for Thursday morning (non-stop no less!), I ended up not only booking the flight,
the fare difference was actually $32 cheaper. Go figure!
On a side note, !@#$ Delta, but that’s a different story for another day….
I make my way to Tampa, the flight left about 45 minutes late, so when I arrive I have to skip waiting for the free hotel shuttle
and double time it in a taxi to make the meeting on time. I made it about 10 minutes early, with all my luggage in hand because
I was booked at Wyndham across the street instead.
So, I get there (can’t really tell you the full details of what happened, NDAs and other legal crap), but I can share a fun story or two.
One, David Sharpe rolls into the meeting, in torn up jeans and a sleeveless shirt.
Who does this guy think he is?
He’s a guy very comfortably being his natural self, sharing his personal story and the journey about how he arrived to where
he is at.
And, he definitely HAS ARRIVED!
In more ways than one….
…financial business success and BODY ODOR!
Well, I actually didn’t smell a thing because he caught it in the nick of time. Apparently david is fairly paste-y white and hit the
tanning booth before the event but failed to put on deodorant before arriving at the hotel.
So he stopped into the hotel’s small convenience store to grab some quick toiletries before speaking to the crowd. To his dismay,
people where greeting him in the store….
“Hey David, it’s awesome to meet you!”
…smelly armpits and all.

But in all seriousness, David didn’t miss a beat, did his thing and crushed it for the team during this private mastermind with
nearly 120 people in attendance.
Not bad for an event announced 48 hours prior.
That’s powerful.
