Fast Start loads the SolidWorks components in the background at the time you
start your computer, rather than waiting for you to launch the program.
2. Benefits of Fast Start!
SolidWorks now has what’s called a Fast Start option. If you enable it, it allows
SolidWorks to load a lot more quickly than usual, in just a few seconds rather
than sometimes what can take a couple minutes.
This feature comes with SolidWorks 2013 and later, and installs by default. Fast
Start loads the SolidWorks components in the background at the time you start
your computer, rather than waiting for you to launch the program.

You can find SolidWorks Fast Start under Startup programs, in fact, as shown in

However, if you’re like me, you prefer to minimize the amount of software
taking up computer resources while you’re booting up your machine. The
easiest way to disable Fast Start is to right-click on the program icon and select
delete:
After you’ve done this, the next time you start SolidWorks, it’ll load with the
usual slower speed that it takes you to load the software and all its components
(libraries etc).
