2. Why do I design? I design because I love the
notion of presenting strong, lasting ideas through
static imagery and text.
As a graphic designer my goal is to provide clear
and concise ideas to people in a manner that is
not only appropriate, but also enjoyable and
stimulating. Ultimately, I strive to ensure that the
audience understands the visual message being
presented and leaves with a lasting impression of
what they have seen.
6. My work has been heavily influenced by the
poster work of the prestigious Saul Bass. Saul
Bass was an innovative graphic designer who is
famous for the bold, minimalist style he utilized in
designing movie posters.
As such, I am exploring the idea of minimalism in
my design by relying less on imagery and
focusing on bold colors and typography. In this
manner, I hope to present the audience with a
visual message that is accessible and
memorable.

9. In the future I hope to continue my graphic design
career by challenging myself to work in a manner
similar to what I have done with my Theatre
Brochure; designing work that features minimal
imagery and places emphasis on bold colors and
precise typography.
