         important historical figure that
         interests you.
        To inform others about the historical
         figures life.
        To write a 2-3 page research paper.
        To create a movie.

        Choose who you would like to
         research and add it to the classroom
         Wiki.
        If someone has already chosen the
         person that you are interested, chose
         a new person.

            –     Who their parents and siblings were

          Write the important facts on an index card.
            – There should be one important fact on each card.
            – Facts should be in your own words.
            – Label each card with BI on the front to stand for Background
              Information.

            – Strong topic sentence
                   • Captures audience’s attention
            –     Label the top of the rough draft, Introductory Paragraph.

       Step Six – Beginning and End

        Write a paragraph that is going to wrap up
         the information about your historical
         figure.
        It should include:
            –     Person’s most important contribution
            –     What they are most known for
            –     How they will be remembered
            –     Strong last sentence
          Write your rough draft
            –     Label the top of the rough draft, Introductory Paragraph.
            –     Skip every line.
            –     Get it edited by a partner.
            –     Get it edited by a teacher.

       Step Seven – Final Copy
          Type your final paper, making sure that
           you have all of these components.
            – Title – should be your historical figures name,
              underlined and in bold text, size 24.
            – Five paragraphs in size 12 font, Times New
              Roman, double-spaced.
            – Should be at least 2 full pages long.
            – Include your name at the end.

       Step Eight – Pictures/Audio
        Choose an Audio clip from the Audio clip
         folder, open it, save it into a folder called
         Movie.
        Find 20 pictures that go along with your
         paper. They do not all need to be pictures
         of your person. They can be of things
         your person did, family, education,
         committees, etc.
        Save the Pictures into the folder called
         Movie.

       Step Eight – Pictures/Audio
          Open Windows Movie Maker.
          Click on Import Pictures.
          Choose the folder that has all of your
           images.
          Click (Ctrl and A) to select all pictures.
          Click Import.
          Drag all of your pictures down to the
           bottom, putting them in the correct order
           as you go.

       Step Eight – Picture/Audio
          Click on Import Audio or Music.
          Import the Music from your Movie Folder.
          Click Show Timeline.
          Drag the Music Track down to the
           beginning of the Timeline two times.
          With a teacher you will help you record the
           audio and help you insert it into the
           correct position.

       Step Nine – Finishing Your
       Movie
          Make sure that you can see the Timeline at
           the bottom of your screen.
          Change the timing of the pictures.
          Insert video transitions and effects.
          Insert a title at the beginning.
          Insert credits at the end that show your
           Cited Sources.
          Check to make sure that the timing is
           good for your video.

       Step Nine – Finishing Your
       Movie
          When your movie is ready to be
           published:
            –     Go to File, Save Movie File
            –     Choose My Computer
            –     Give Your Movie a Title
            –     Click Browse to find your Movie Folder.
            –     Save it.
            –     Then also save it in your room’s drop-off
                  folder.

        You should now have a completed
         movie and a two-three page research
         paper.
        We will view our movies in class.

Home Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Rubric One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Step Seven – Final Copy  Type your final paper, making sure that you have all of these components. – Title – should be your historical figures name, underlined and in bold text, size 24. – Five paragraphs in size 12 font, Times New Roman, double-spaced. – Should be at least 2 full pages long. – Include your name at the end.

Home Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Rubric One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Step Eight – Pictures/Audio  Choose an Audio clip from the Audio clip folder, open it, save it into a folder called Movie.  Find 20 pictures that go along with your paper. They do not all need to be pictures of your person. They can be of things your person did, family, education, committees, etc.  Save the Pictures into the folder called Movie.

Home Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Rubric One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Step Eight – Pictures/Audio  Open Windows Movie Maker.  Click on Import Pictures.  Choose the folder that has all of your images.  Click (Ctrl and A) to select all pictures.  Click Import.  Drag all of your pictures down to the bottom, putting them in the correct order as you go.

Home Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Rubric One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Step Eight – Picture/Audio  Click on Import Audio or Music.  Import the Music from your Movie Folder.  Click Show Timeline.  Drag the Music Track down to the beginning of the Timeline two times.  With a teacher you will help you record the audio and help you insert it into the correct position.

Home Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Rubric One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Step Nine – Finishing Your Movie  Make sure that you can see the Timeline at the bottom of your screen.  Change the timing of the pictures.  Insert video transitions and effects.  Insert a title at the beginning.  Insert credits at the end that show your Cited Sources.  Check to make sure that the timing is good for your video.

Home Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Step Rubric One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Step Nine – Finishing Your Movie  When your movie is ready to be published: – Go to File, Save Movie File – Choose My Computer – Give Your Movie a Title – Click Browse to find your Movie Folder. – Save it. – Then also save it in your room’s drop-off folder.
