cares, WNBA fit, & WNBA pride, Inspiring women,
Breast health awareness, hoops for troops,& the
Community assist award.

 WNBA CARES
 Teams and players are deeply committed to
creating programs that improve quality of life
for all people. Whether it’s working with
schools or community-based organizations,
partnering with service based volunteer
organizations.

6. WNBA Pride
 This is a celebration of the LGBT community , they go
out and let them know that they’re not alone . By
doing things like parades and things like that.

7. Pride
The WNBA is full of women in the
LGBT community, so for them to have
something like the parades and stuff ,
and being open enough to let the
world know that’s how they are and it’s
ok to be who you are. It might make
someone in the world realize that its
ok to be that way.

8. WNBA FIT
 This is the leagues health and wellness
program that encourages physical activity
and healthy living for children and families
through grass roots, programs, and events.
This educates fans on healthy living.

 Each player is required to donate to at least one
charity , some people do more. Them doing this is just
a part of them giving back.

10. Candice Parker
 Candice Parker is involved in a charity organization
called My Hero. Her foundation was created to help
young children follow their dreams.

11. Maya Moore
 Maya Moore holds a annual auction that auctions off
celebrity items such as jerseys, clothing, and
memorabilia in which she donates the money to
different charities throughout the years.

 CELEBRATES WOMEN WHO DEMONSTRATE TO
INSPIRE OTHERS THROUGH THEIR
COMMITMENT, PASSION AND DEDICATION TO
WORK.

AWARENESS
FOCUSES ON GENERATING AWARENESS AND
EDUCATING WOMEN ON IT, WHILE ALSO RAISING
MONEY FOR A CURE.

14. HOOPS For TROOPS
 Committed to supporting active and retired
female/male troops around the world. They honor the
troops in many active ways. Like giving them tickets,
having meet and greets, and in- arena nights.

15. Community Assist Award
 They give this award to a WNBA player that is very
active throughout the community , and having
outstanding efforts.

16. Goal of WNBA
 The goals of the WNBA are to empower young
women and exemplify the importance of the roles in
the community.

 All players, coaches and staff are involved in
community work as well as work in the industry.

 They do these thing to uphold the goals of the WNBA
and make sure their community goals are being met
in the industry.
