2. If you are coming from Budapest to Vienna at
the first sight you will see Schwechat Airport,
then OMV Refiniery, then Vienna-Schwechat
Power Station.
Power Station is bordered with formal
gasometers. Gasometers now are used up as
blocking flats.
Originally this one hundred old gasometers had
two layers. Inside was the gas vessel made of
steel and outside that was layered with bricks.
Inner steel layer was cutted to little pices and
were moved to the iron mill. Outer layers now
are the main walls of a cylinder form buildings.
There are four gasometer and every gasometer
have some floors with rented flats, restaurants ,
car parking garages as you will see on the next
pictures.
Renting flats here are cheap, but I didn’t want
to live here, I don’t think its healthy because
this is an industrial area.

3. Our walk begins at PE garage, going to E1 level and continued to D0, C0, P0 and ended
at PA garage. The four gasometer are four boulding now.
