WHY???? You use your Huddersfield ID to
access electronic databases
BUT you can create a personal account on
many databases to create alerts, store results,
save searches, etc.

Some institutions may request payment for
digitisation requests
Huddersfield support open-access (so requests for
digitisation do not incur a charge)
Downloads are in .pdf format (Adobe Reader is
required) and may be compressed (software to un-
zip files may be needed)

• Mendelay is available on all UCO PCs
• MyEndNote web is free, offers some of the
functionality of the full version
• Zotero is another free application
