Self Sabotage, Self Destruction Is Real…
I’ve known about this word, sabotage, for many many years. In fact it’s actually a name my
middle son (Taj= Sabotaj) was giving during a play at least 10-12 years ago. Of course the Go Daddy!
meaning was apparent but never in my life did I realize or consider that I am/ was actually self

2. meaning was apparent but never in my life did I realize or consider that I am/ was actually self
sabotaging. No way, it wasn’t happening. Right? Wrong?
Once the term was specifically identified as something most people do to themselves then
I applied the definition to my life, I had to submit to the fact that I was indeed a self
sabotager…Damn, all of this time, I’m actually hindering myself from success, I’m literally being
self destructive. Now What?
Is There A Reason For Self Sabotage, Self Destruction?

sabotage was recognized thanks to the Big Leap by Gay Hendricks. Having what’s termed an
Upper Limit Problem. I’d maxed out on how much good stuff I could stand. As Hendricks
explains, “Each of us has an inner thermostat setting that determines how much love, Tips In Having A Wealthy Mindset
success, and creativity we allow ourselves to enjoy.”
The minute we exceed that setting—by “making more money, experiencing more
love, drawing more positive attention to yourself—you trip your upper limit
switch.”Those switches were set early in life, “through unconscious childhood Get Started Now!
decisions.” As soon as we go beyond our artificial boundary, a little voice inside us *Email
says: ’You can’t possibly feel this good.’ So we unwittingly find ways to feel bad.
We start worrying, criticizing, squabbling, even falling ill or getting hurt. start now
There is a way out, Hendricks assures us. “It’s done moment by moment, and the moment goes
like this: we catch ourselves worrying or starting an argument. Suddenly we realize we’re Upper
Limiting. We let go of the train of worry-thoughts or huffy point of view, taking a deep breath
or two for relaxation.”
It’s crazy how we can spend years yearning for ‘more.’ Yet once we create it, we instinctively
put the kibosh on what feels like “too much.”
I say, enough of that s**t. Let’s be mindful of the signs we are surpassing our self-made
ceilings. Let’s consciously celebrate every crumb of success, love, and prosperity that
graces our path. And let’s happily inspire everyone around us to do the same.
I cannot agree more, I commit to make that change, how about you? For those of us that
attended “Fight The Forces Of Evil” in San Diego this past September, do you recall David
Woods saying the same thing? Well I remember…Be Smart, Think First! Stop Self Sabotaging
