Why Mexico: changes to business regulation “ Mexico launched an online one-stop shop for initiating business registration. Mexico improved construction permitting by merging and streamlining procedures related to zoning and utilities. Mexico increased taxes on companies by raising several tax rates, including the corporate income tax and the rate on cash deposits. At the same time, the administrative burden was reduced slightly with more options for online payment and increased use of accounting software.” Source: Doing Business in Mexico, 2011, The Worls Bank For more Mexico business information, visit the presentations section of The Offshore Group website, www.offshoregroup.com
