Started with Fendercare as an internal salesperson.
Duties included:

During this time I designed and implemented the following excel spreadsheets, all of which are still
being used:
Weekly Stock Sheet, which included all stock from around the world with a quick price
structure reference to help with instant pricing o the client.
A master price list which gives all components and labour required for specific builds.

Duties here included:
Procurement of local and overseas products across our full range
Coordination of imported goods and associated shipping arrangements and ensuring
appropriate documentation is completed. Using Courier, LCL, FCL and FCX to get the goods
into store at the best possible rate. This includes imports from China, England, Slovakia,
Korea, New Zealand and the USA.
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, including reports and analysis of cost
information
Manage supplier relationships and service level agreements whilst ensuring the best possible
purchasing and procurement arrangements.
Analysis and forecasting including regular review and management of slow and obsolete goods
as well as items requiring re-order.
Service clients who are having problems, with trying to sort them out to mutual benefits to both
parties.
During this time designed and implemented a calendar system so all members of the sales team have a
full knowledge of products coming in from overseas.
I am currently part the way with a costing/materials spreadsheet for the L&T department. This will
allow the sales staff to quote on rope builds on the run.

Position "Customer Relations". Duties include;
Sales; selling and buying various components in Agriculture GPS around the world, we have just
managed to organise a new market in New Zealand. This market will allow Agtronics to sell their
products through dealerships in New Zealand.
Research; various agricultural equipment in controller boards, touch screens, LCD and many
other components.
Customer Relations; this includes a Help desk which our client contact us with various
problems, ranging from general GPS problems too internal electronic problems. I assist where
possible and pass onto those with a greater knowledge in these areas
Design and building client database; I have been building a client database which will shortly
be transferred to a CRM server and updated into a new program.
Design and implement online web site; the web site will be going live as soon as approval has
been obtained from the owner. This web site will incorporate ecommerce capabilities.
Design video training material; this was to show the dealerships how to replace the touch
screens on a unit.
Design and implement daily work in progress sheets; this again will be going onto a CRM
server shortly.
Source components worldwide and negotiate pricing and delivery. We have just received
components that I have been negotiating with parties in the USA and China.

August 2008-October 2011
Was employed as a John Deere AMS Consultant (Agriculture Management Systems).
My duties included:
Sales of GPS equipment to Farmers,
Instruction and teaching farmers and staff how to use this equipment. This included lesson
plans and computer programs on how to use the items. I have extensive lesson plans for both
staff and clients on the use of both the GS2/GS3 equipment and Apex.
Fault finding, for all the workshops and clients on the equipment and software, liaise with
other members of the staff about the work load on AMS as well as handle customer
complaints.
Geographical area I covered was from Margaret River in the West to past Lake King in the
East, Mt Barker in the South and just south of Moora in the North.
Initially I was employed as a machinery sales person and while doing the machinery side I moved
over to the guidance equipment, within a couple of months. I have the ability to pick up computer
programs and electronic equipment faster than most people.
Reason for leaving was that Agtronics made me an offer I could not refuse.

January 2006- Still operated only after hours for select clients until 2011
Sold Leeuwin Movie World and Watts in Computers in 2005 and moved to Boyup Brook there I
started Ted Watts Computer Consultant. At this time I was travelling to Margaret River to work two
days a week at the Senior High School. I also had several other schools ,which I looked after for their
computer needs, Manjimup, Collie, Augusta, Karridale, Vasse, Greenbushes and occasionally
Balingup. The Greenbushes Telecentre also used me as a lecturer on computer software which
included; Word, Excel, Power Point, Photoshop and how to use of the internet. I also installed and
assisted in the implementation of MYOB to clients.
Leeuwin Movie World Owner operator
April 2002 – December 2005
In April of 2002 my wife and myself started a small business, Leeuwin Movie World, which was to be
just a video hire outlet. But we added an internet cafe, computer sales and repairs and computer
training. My wife and others worked on the shop front with myself supplying computer assistance as
well as training adults in the use of computers etc. Watts in Computers worked in conjunction with
Leeuwin Movie World

Because of my involvement in computers while in Perth I started Augusta Computers as an offshoot to
desktop publishing and computer programming. This developed into a busy side line.

March 1995 – August 2008
Duties: Repair computer systems around the campus, which includes maintain the network, imaging
machines, assist teachers with computer problems, printer problems, problem solving and trying to
keep one step ahead of the students. Some of this work requires that I work after hours and during
school breaks. I started in March of 1995 and was put onto "Special Project Payments" in November of
the same year. I worked here until 2008. On several occasions I was asked to teach the students as
well as set PD days for the staff members on computers and software programmes.
While working for the Margaret River Senior High School I was asked to be the onsite technician for
one of the panel contractors "CDM". To work as a technician for CDM I had to be very flexible in the
hours that I work as many of businesses require me to be there before or after hours to complete the
tasks.
The Old Print Shop Augusta owner operator
February1988 - August 2002
This started as just general printing, but grew to a stage that we established a local newspaper “Watts
Newspaper in Augusta”. This went well and is still being produced under the name of “Pelican Post”.
We found that tourism information on Augusta and its regions was lacking so we produced a tourist
magazine “Watts What in Augusta’. This proved to be a great success and we started developing
tourist walk trail maps, which I believe are still being used.
Duties; Controlled the every day operation of the factory, which included sales, production, delivery,
training of apprentices and staff.
This business was sold in 2002 so that I could continue in the IT field as I could see that trends were
changing and computers were becoming more important.
Watts Printing Perth Owner operator.
July 1982- January 1988
Started with my wife and myself in a small building on Albany Hwy and when we sold the business
we employed nine full time personal as well as fifteen part time personal. We had established
contracts with the following companies, Telfer Gold Mine, Irene White, CSR Gyprock, Charlie
Carters, KFC, Hungry Jacks and ITP the Income Tax Professionals.
We sold this to move to Augusta for a quieter life.
Duties; Complete control of sales, production, deliveries, accounting and staff.
While operating this business I noticed that the way of the future would be in computers and began to
learn what I could about them. Initially it was for desktop publishing, but then onto programming for
the purpose of quoting. I developed a basic quoting package for the Printing Industry which is still
used.
Jorgenson Printers - Foreman of machine room, after three months I was given the position as
Manager of factory. Twelve months later the owner added a second “Instant Print Shop” I managed
both these until I left to start my own business.
Duties: As foreman controlling four offset operators and train one apprentice
As Manager of the factory it was my role to control the flow of work including customer
liaison.
As Manager of factory and instant print section; the factory was as above, the instant print
section included budgets, staff and account control
Snap Instant Print - Assistant Training Officer at the Training School in Murray Street Perth.
Duties; Assist the Training Officer in the training of Small Offset Machinists. Developing new

lesson plans for selected areas of the printing trade i.e. camera operation. These trainees would
then be sent out to the various Snap Instant Print Shops around Australia
Import Party Sales: Owner - Manager, selling items on party plan
I Ran a successful party plan business for two years with sales staff from Perth to Geraldton.
This business was sold so that I could return to printing.
Linck's Printing Service - Manager
Duties; Controlled the entire business which included sales, production, delivery and accounts.
Imperial Print - Leading Hand of the Machining section, after three months promoted to Production
Supervisor over the entire factory.
Duties: As Leading Hand; to plan the work flow for seven staff and to train two apprentices.
Duties: Production Supervisor; to control the work for the entire factory which included
planning of the jobs through pre press to finishing on time. I had to liaison with the sales staff to
meet the customer’s requirements.
Advance Press - Machinist
Duties; To operate various printing presses in the factory.
Action Press - Machinist in charge of Lithographic section
Duties; to operate various lithographic printing presses and to plan work flow for one other
person.
E S Wigg & Son - Apprentice to Letterpress Machine. While there I was also trained in various
aspects of the print process including pre press, guillotining, and finishing.
Activities outside of work:
Very involved in Lions International and currently hold the following position;
President of the Gosnells Lions, this is my second term, which will conclude in July
After July I will be taking on the positions of Secretary and Membership Chairman for
the Gosnells Lions.
My involvement in Lions has won me many awards. If required these can be
elaborated on.
I also teach Leadership Skills and run forums on IT for Lions in Western Australia and at some of the
Australian Conventions held in various parts of Australia. The Leadership Skill training is centred on
Conflict Resolution, Team Building, Goal Setting, Problem Solving and Meeting Procedures .
