I am here to present to you a brief of my design for a
games magazine, with a difference.
2. BRIEF
- THE NORTHERN ECHO
You have been commissioned by the Northern
Echo to produce a new magazine or newspaper
product. You product could be in any style or
genre (lifestyle magazine, music magazine and
so on) but it must be self financed through
sales or advertising. You must also produce
your magazine for a specified audience
segment within the 16 to 25 age group.

tribe, my magazine offers the associated

8. MY AIM
Stereotypically video games is only for the nerd
tribe.
When really someone in the nerd tribe doesn’t
actually like being branded a nerd.
My magazine will aim to bring a more casual
approach to video games.
In an attempt to make video gaming as a
hobby, more socially acceptable.
I aim to do this by covering games which are
free, affordable technology and take away all the
seriousness of video game magazines.
