Indian Patent Office publishes official patent journal on its website every Friday of the month on a weekly basis. The official patent journal of the Indian Patent Office provides patent related information and various proceedings on Indian patent applications by the Indian Patent Office as required in accordance with the provision of Section 145 of the Patents Act 1970.

If pre-grant patent opposition is filed for a particular patent application, it will only proceed to the grant stage if the patent applicant successfully wins the pre-grant opposition proceedings before the Indian Patent Office. A Post- grant Patent Opposition can be filed for a granted patent when published in the patent journal within 12 months from the date of patent grant.
