ในชีวิตประจําวัน มีอุปกรณอะไรบางที่คนเราประสานติดตอกับ
อุปกรณนั้นๆ? ๆ? ทําอยางไรจึงจะสรางผลเสิศใหผูใชในการติดตอ
มีกี่อยางที่ใชไดงาย ไมตองใชความพยายาม ใชแลวเพลิดเพลิน? ประสานกันระหวางผูใช ระบบ สภาวะแวดลอม เพื่อ
สิ่งเหลานี้คงมีไมเยอะแนๆ หากลองคิดกันดูใหรอบคอบ ทําไมถึงเปน สนับสนุนกิจกรรมในการทํางานของผูใช?

คราวนี้ลองนึกถึงอุปกรณที่ถูกออกแบบแบบแยๆที่คุณประสพมา กี่ครั้ง
ที่เราตองเสียเวลากับการที่ทําใหมันใชงานได?
ทําไมเหตุการณนี้ถึงตองเกิดขึ้นครั้งแลวครั้งเลา?
เปนเพราะการออกแบบสิ่งเหลานี้ไมไดคํานึงถึงหัวใจของผูใชหรือไม?

คําตอบนั้นคือ… HCI goals
ควรคํานึงถึงวาผูใชใชสวนใดของระบบไดดีและไมดี SW Eng. goals are still important:
robustness
ควรพิจารณาวาอะไรบางที่จะชวยผูใชในสวนของงานที่เขาปฏิบัติอยู
maintainability
ควรคํานึงถึงวาอะไรบางที่จะเพิ่มพูนคุณภาพของความชํานาญและ
cost
ประสพการณในการทํางานของผูใช
HCI goal – usability:

ควรฟงวาผูใชตองการอะไรและใหเขามีสวนรวมในการออกแบบระบบ
user performance (speed, errors)

ease of learning, ease of use
ในกระบวนการออกแบบ ควรใชวิธีการ “tried and tested” tested” user satisfaction, physical comfort
หรือการทดลองใหผูใชไดลองใชระบบ
(Preece, 2002)
