Functioning of Bank Mitra
• Bank Mitras will be required to open a Current-
cum-Overdraft Account under scheme code
“CABCA” in the style “<Village/Ward> A/C <BC-
Agent Name>”. All transactions carried out
through the HHD of the respective BCAs will be
routed through this account only
• Not Allowed: Cheque Book, ATM/Debit Card,
Net Banking facility, Inter-SOL withdrawal,
Cheque collection, electronic fund transfer like
NEFT
• Ensure that Base Branch has sanctioned
overdraft limit of Rs. 25,000/- in the CABCA
account with no margin, no security, no interest
• The Bank Mitras should withdraw cash through
‘Cash Voucher’ only and deposit cash in their
‘CABCA’ account only through Miscellaneous
Deposit Slip

Bank Mitras
• Deposit:
a)Savings Deposit - @4% p.a. interest
b)Retail Term Deposit – Not exceeding Rs. 5.00
lakh, minimum period of 6 months, @6.75% p.a.
(max) interest
c) Recurring Deposit: Max 12 months period; Intt-
6.25% p.a.
Commission:
i)A/c opening –Rs.5/- per a/c; ii)TD -0.25% on fresh
deposit
• Loan:
• Retail loans [above Rs. 10,000/- to Rs.
3,00,000/- ] including KCC loans
• United JLG loan: Rs. 15,000/- per member for
fresh loan
Commission:
i) Scouting of loan proposals - @1%
ii) For promotion/ nurturing/monitoring of JLGs,
@ 1% p.a. on outstanding balance, so long the
account remains in Performing Status
• NPA Recovery:
• Small NPA accounts upto Rs. 1.00 lakh
including written off accounts
• This amount relates to a single account
• Commission:
• 10% of the amount recovered; Maximum Rs.
10,000/-
• Suraksha Yojana:
• Enrolment under PMSBY (Rs. 12/- yearly
premium)
• Commission: Bank Mitra will get Re.1/- per
insurer per annum; Bank will get Re. 1/-
• Enrolment under PMJJBY (Rs. 330/- yearly
premium)
• Commission: Bank Mitra will get Rs. 25/- per
insurer per annum; Bank will get Rs. 11/-
• Cash Transaction Commission:
• 0.50% on the monthly volume of Bank Mitra
induced cash transaction
• This should be for clean, transparent
transactions, not for any dummy, dubious,
paired transactions
• Remittance: Immediate Payment System
(IMPS): instant interbank electronic fund
transfer service through mobile phones
• Transaction Amt. upto Rs. 1000/-: Bank Mitra
will get Rs. 1.50 & Bank will get Rs. 2.25; out
of total charges of Rs. 6/-
• Transaction Amt. of Rs. 1001/- to Rs. 10,000/-:
Bank Mitra will get Rs. 2.50 & Bank will get
Rs. 5.50; out of total charges of Rs. 12/-
How to earn more?
A Bank Mitra –
i) is having 6,000 a/cs
ii) opens 50 a/cs per month
iii) opened 50 JLG a/cs (5 members/group; Rs.
15,000/- loan /member)
iv) makes NPA recovery of Rs. 10,000/- every month
v) enrolled 4,000 PMSBY and 200 PMJJBY
vi) does 100 IMPS transactions every month
vii) opens TD of Rs.50,000/- every month
viii) scouts small loan proposals of Rs. 50,000/-
every month
ix)does cash transactions of Rs. 15.00 lakh/month
• SB A/c opening(50 x Rs.5/-) = Rs.250/-
• JLG Business:
a)1% of 50 x 5 x Rs.15,000/-, i.e., Rs. 37,500/- per
year, i.e., Rs.3125/- per month
b)Recovery of EWI: 0.50% of 50 x 5 xRs. 310/- ,
i.e., Rs. 388/-
• Commn. for NPA recovery:10% of Rs. 10,000/-,

• PMSBY: Rs.4000/- p.a., i.e., Rs.333/- p.m.
