In order to use all tools effectively together, me must know the limitations and susceptible areas before they become problematic. Proper implementation of procedural handling of private information, safeguards, firewalls and monitoring should ensure privacy and information safety. <br />The future of electronic medical record standardization and patient privacy is upon health care as an industry. Regulations will steer compliance and aid in the modernization of medical records. HIPAA is as huge pioneer in patient safety and compliance with privacy is a must. Privacy and safeguards to protect patient information is a key element towards furthering compliance in the industry and -compliance is grounds for termination and remuneration will be sought by the facility.
