2. What to do after a fire?
Experiencing a house fire is a frightening
and very upsetting experience. In the
aftermath of a fire, it is very important to
know what to do here are some guidelines
to help you.
TIP’S
 Contact your Insurance company.
 Do not enter a house or other building
that has been affected by a fire until
you have listened to the professionals
telling you that is okay to do so. When
you do have the ok to enter wear
gloves, mask and boots.

Draw a plan of your home showing all doors and windows. Try to
find at least two ways out of every room. Make sure that the
windows open easily. Discuss this plan with everyone in your
house.
Plan a meeting place a safe distance away. At a tree or light, or
near a mail box. Practice your plan twice a year using different
ways to get out and at different times of the day.
