Thinking outside the box

 How do you think you can get the attention of
someone you would like to talk to who is out of reach
about getting hired at their organization?

 Start with a crazy idea and then get crazier and
crazier. Have three index cards.

 Challenge yourself to make one of these ideas work.

 90% of job hunters are looking for work online and
only 5% are looking offline (attending networking
events, setting up informational interviews).

 Bureau of Labor Statistics says that 70% of all jobs

 I started January 5th (not liking social media), with 68 links
which connected me to 2,100,896+ others. In one day, this
increased 3,119.

 My husband began using LinkedIn two years ago. He has
488 connections, which links him to 7 million, 982,485+
professionals. This increases about 23,000 people a day.

 For example, Healthcare Social workers have a bright
outlook at 29% growth rate compared to other fields.
Overall, social workers projected growth is between 10-19%
between 2010-2020.
