The training teaches basic video and interview techniques, with an emphasis on pre-production planning, setting the scene, removing the interviewer, writing questions, not interrupting interviewees, and using a tripod, lighting, shots, framing, and good quality sound. Examples of how digital storytelling could be used include tours of a library, preservation awareness, event highlights, stories from volunteers, and interviews with specialist staff.
