T.M.C Banting

4. • 1930’s outreach point of TMC Klang
during the late Rev. S.S. Pakianathan
• 1953 separate pastoral charge by
Malaya Annual Conference (M.A.C.)
in Singapore and Malaya.
• 12/1/1953 birth of the government-
assisted Methodist English School
(MES PRIMARY)

5. • USD 3000/= (RM9000/-) grant from New
York Office of the U.S.A. Methodist Church
to put up our own building
• 1968 Malaya Annual Conference (MAC)
split into TRAC (Wesley) and
TPAC (Tamil Provisional Annual Conference)
• 1976 (T.P.A.C) became T.A.C. (Tamil Annual
Conference) of the Methodist Church in
Malaysia.

6. • The late Rev. J.A.P. Oswald headmaster of
the MES PRIMARY served as the FIRST
pastor of the church
• Services were held in the school hall.
• 25/12/1954 the first baptism was of
Master Denison Jeyasooria Jayaratnam.
• 12/9/1955 the first marriage conducted
was of Mr. Israel Gnanamuthu to Miss
Pakiathai Joseph
