 Utilized SolidWorks 3D Routing to design hydraulic weldless
piping system for Dynamic Positioning System integration.
 Performed field surveys and used customer provided CAD
drawings to create 3D model of vessel for pipe routing.
 Assisted in project management working with customer during
initial design layout and installation.
 Responsible for hydraulic weldless piping design, for prefabrication
at Power Dynamics; and assembled on board the vessel in dry dock.

Hopper Dredge: Hydraulic Piping Design
 Responsible for on-site project management with design and
layout, coordinating with customer through all facets.
 Designed power unit panel modification with directional control
valves to supply 18 new hydraulic supply/return lines to
slurry/knife gate valves.
New Panel on left; existing panel on right
 Surveyed vessel in operation. Worked closely with customer to
address concerns and meet customer needs.
 In dry dock, responsible for project management and design of
hydraulic piping installation.
 Pipe routes designed through a maze of pre-existing piping.
Hopper Dredge: Hydraulic Piping Design
 Utilized customer provided CAD drawing to layout drag arm
hydraulic piping design.
 Project management duties also included leading pipe fitters and
welders for additional work requested by customer while on site.

 Performed field survey and layout, coordinating with
customer to discuss their requirements.
 Responsible for hydraulic system (power unit and piping)
design to supply stern spud cylinders and winches.
 Performed field survey and utilized customer furnished CAD
drawings to create 3D SolidWorks model of vessel structure.
Complete assembly on left; Power unit on right.
Cutter Dredge: Hydraulic Piping Design
 3D Hydraulic piping design incorporated intricate routing, which
changed elevation through an air plenum and running under
crews quarters, clearing existing piping, to the stern of the vessel.

shown below.
