Notas do Editor

  1. This lesson (or part of lesson because we’re also practising for Spanglovision) aims to continue work on teaching the pronoun words, work on memorising them, using gesture, picture and music.
  2. Give them a minute to see how they think they will sound in Spanish with a partner. Remind them of the phonic hook ‘llave’ which is the most important one here. Then go through them, eliciting from volunteers as much as possible.
  3. Worth making them realise how important and everyday these words are – because we don’t live on an island! Also refer back to the cognates and say that we can’t use our knowledge of English to memorise these words, so we need some special help to cue us into the meanings. This is the first time we’re going to use music to enhance memory (Spanglovision not explicitly about learning new language to re-use). Introduce them to the gestures. Then take them slowly through the following picture slides one by one. On the final slide there are all the words plus music inserted. Use this slide to repeat and try to get the new language fixed!
