We have been asked to find a Training & Development Officer for our Rail Vehicle overhaul facility
that is
 An experienced Assessor qualified to A1 (D32) and A2 (D33)
 Time served apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 3
 Experienced in the design and delivery of training programmes
The Training & Development Officer is a Permanent Job commutable from Bedford, Northampton,
Kettering, Rugby, Huntingdon, St Neots, Stevenage, Hitchin, Luton, Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard,
Brackley, Banbury, Towcester and would give you the opportunity to;
 Create and implement an Annual Training Plan working closely with managers to identify
training needs and solutions
 Carry out training needs analysis up to senior management level
 Support and manage the design and delivery of training programmes
 Coordinate the delivery of external courses
 Build and maintain relationships with training providers and further education
establishments
 Oversee recruitment and manage the development programmes of new starters, graduates
and apprentices
 Manage the Craft Apprentices and produce development plans to satisfy requirements of
NVQ awards
 Plan, design, deliver and facilitate training programs
 Complete necessary paperwork according to Depot Procedures and adhere to such
procedures
 Assess staff to meet the requirements of ROGS and EMTA standards.
 Complete necessary paperwork and maintain staff competency recording systems according
to Depot Procedures and adhere to such procedures.
 Ensure new employees and contractors are inducted and all qualifications gathered
 Co-ordinate/deliver site visit requirements from training companies and colleges
