7.  If you take prescription medications like
insulin or heart medicine every day, you

perishable food. This means food that
requires no refrigeration, no cooking, and
little to no water.

9.  Perhaps most important of all is water. You
need one gallon of water per person per day
for at least three days. Water is necessary
not only for drinking but for sanitation, too.

10.  If you realize right now that you’re not ready
for an emergency, start getting ready now.
