To those whom may concern,
It is a privilege for me to write a referential letter for Civil Authorize Negotiate Organization (CAN-
Myanmar Organization). People in Need (PIN) have worked with CAN-Myanmar Organization since 2012. I have
known their operations and performance very well. CAN-Myanmar Organization is one of the first initiating
organizations of LGBTIQ right issues in Myanmar. CAN- Myanmar Organization is a Mandalay based
organization, and advocating Human Rights issues, LGBTIQ right issues, Election issues (marginalized people,
especially, LGBTIQ people and first time voters’ involvement in Myanmar General Election 2015, has been
leaded by CAN-Myanmar Organization). Also affiliated with international network, CAN-Myanmar has become
an official member of International Lesbian and Gay Association World and Asia (ILGA-World andAsia) in 2015.
People In Need (PIN) has been a donor organization of CAN-Myanmar Organization for the project, “Capacity
Building on Policy Advocacy in Civil society of Myanmar” and then PIN and CAN-Myanmar has worked together
for advocacy and human rights issues in Myanmar. I am proud to say that as a result of coordination and
cooperation between CAN-Myanmar and PIN, Election Observers Network Mandalay has been formed at 2015
with the collaboration of 45 CSOs in Mandalay to promote Free and Fair on Myanmar General Election 2015. As
I have experienced, CAN-Myanmar has strong policies on fraud and it is a one of the trust worthy organizations.
CAN-Myanmar is a very promising and involving organization in this democratic reform era of Myanmar because
of their excellence in operations and management.
