1. In 1999, the concept of the doodle was born when Google founders
Larry and Sergey played with the corporate logo to indicate their
attendance at the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert. A stick
figure drawing was placed behind the 2nd o in the word, Google and
the revised logo was intended as a comical message to Google users
that the founders were “out of office.” While the first doodle was
relatively simple, the idea of decorating the company logo to celebrate
notable events was well received by our users.

3. Who are you with?
What are you doing?
Where are you?
When is it? (past, present, future?)
Why is it your Best Day Ever?
4. Welcome to Doodle 4 Google
Doodle 4 Google is an annual program that
invites K-12 students in the United States
to use their artistic talents to think big and
redesign our homepage logo for millions to
see.
This year, we ask students to exercise their
creative imaginations around the theme,
“My Best Day Ever…”
5. One talented student artist will see their
artwork appear on the Google
homepage, receive a $30,000 college
scholarship, and a $50,000 technology
grant for their school along with some
other cool prizes!
