Conclusions
Current cooperation between SURFnet and LTE providers focuses on
SURFnet as facilitator …
… providing integrated mobile / wireless access
… enlarging the reach and use of ‘eduroam’
Raise the bar! From the scenario analysis in TNO’s report:
“SURFnet is approached by the European Commission within the
PPP-FI program for ‘capacity building’, together with the other
NRENs. By showing a wider ambition (fixed/wireless), the
Commission will stimulate a strong role for SURFnet in the ‘smart
city’ projects.” – SURFnet as a real innovative mobile player
