The Creative Curriculum –        Centers on Four Domains How children learn through Social-Emotional Development Physical Development Cognitive Development Language Development
Missouri Pre-K Standards-Focuses on 5 standards  Social-Emotional Literacy Physical/Health Science Mathematics Each standard is a broad description of what most children should know and be able to do by the time they enter kindergarten
Each classroom’s schedule includes Greeting  Choice time  Small group work Cleanup time Diapering/toileting Large group time Snack Outdoor play
Each classroom follows a schedule in order to provide the children with a sense of predictability and independence.  Daily Routines
Greeting Arrival time sets the tone for the day. Teachers greet children, children say hello to each other, and parents and teachers exchange important information.
During choice time, teachers work with small groups to build closer relationships and meet individual needs. Small group work
All routines are considered part of the curriculum and are treated as learning experiences.  Teachers talk with children during diapering to make it a pleasant experience. Older children learn good health practices through toileting. Diapering/Toileting
Large group times give children a sense of belonging to a group. Children practice communication skills, solve problems, and explore topics of study. Large group time
Snacks are served family style as children and teachers sit together for healthy snacks.  Snack time is a great opportunity to learn social skill as well as self-help skills. Mealtimes
We deeply value the importance of family.  ,[object Object]
Parents are always welcome to stay in the classroom to help ensure a smooth transition for the children.Family Involvement

  • 8. Each classroom’s schedule includes Greeting Choice time Small group work Cleanup time Diapering/toileting Large group time Snack Outdoor play
  • 9. Each classroom follows a schedule in order to provide the children with a sense of predictability and independence. Daily Routines
  • 10. Greeting Arrival time sets the tone for the day. Teachers greet children, children say hello to each other, and parents and teachers exchange important information.
  • 11. During choice time, teachers work with small groups to build closer relationships and meet individual needs. Small group work
  • 12. All routines are considered part of the curriculum and are treated as learning experiences. Teachers talk with children during diapering to make it a pleasant experience. Older children learn good health practices through toileting. Diapering/Toileting
  • 13. Large group times give children a sense of belonging to a group. Children practice communication skills, solve problems, and explore topics of study. Large group time
  • 14. Snacks are served family style as children and teachers sit together for healthy snacks. Snack time is a great opportunity to learn social skill as well as self-help skills. Mealtimes
