Dear Judges,
My desire to help others in need and my passion for cars are what drove me to choose to
do a beneficial car show for my senior project. My dream is to become an automotive engineer
for Nissan and my love for cars is unprecedented. I have volunteered at a lot of car shows and
that help me choose this as my senior project. I have always been the type of person that would
go out of my way to help people. That's why, combining my two interests, helped me form this
as my senior project.
My product was the money raised from all the fundraising. It totaled to be 1,800$.
However, this wasn’t achieved by sitting back and doing nothing. Through my research and
my project facilitator, I was shown the amount of hard work that is required to put on an event
of this proportion. I was in awe, however, through hard work and tremendous amounts of
determination, I finished organizing, planning, and putting on my car show.
My passion for cars grew immensely from this project. Not only did I get to help
people, but I learned about the business side of putting on an event of this magnitude. This can
help me down the road when I have to orchestrate an event of my own. However, this can help
me in my career of automotive engineering as I have learned much about cars and how they
operate. Also, I have learned how to handle myself in a business situation.
2. I have immensely enjoyed my senior project and the satisfaction I gained from
helping someone in my community. I have learned valuable skills to help me in the workplace
later on and how to manage a big event. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Ryan Sowala
