This document discusses Saab's SAFE solution for airport command, control and communication. SAFE integrates existing airport systems like CCTV, access control and alarms through a common interface. It provides situational awareness, workflow management and dispatch capabilities. Swedavia implemented SAFE across its 10 airports in Sweden to create standardized operations. This reduced security costs by 2 million euros annually while maintaining operations. SAFE allows centralized monitoring and efficient resource allocation across multiple airports.

the cost for Security has been reduced with
approximately 2 MEUR the last year after
introduction of SAFE
• The cost level of the total security program is
brought back to the same levels as in 2006,
even if the security requirements for the
airports are much higher in 2012 than in
2006.
