Roxtec EMC sealing solutions
1. Roxtec cable and pipe seals ensure safety, efficiency and
operational reliability. Installed in walls, floors, bulkheads,
decks, cabinets and enclosures, they protect against risks
factors such as fire, gas and water – and the three EMC
product lines add electrical safety and protection against
electromagnetic interference and lightning strikes.
Roxtec EMC sealing solutions
Roxtec EMC sealing solutions provide a
circumferential contact area around the
cable armor/screen to create a low imped-
ance path to earth. The width and mass of
the ground path are optimized for the appli-
cation. The shielded version includes a high
frequency barrier that captures and diverts
signals transmitted through air.
The selection of EMC solution can be
based on the need for protection and the
type of cable used. If the application uses
armored cables, the BG system is recom-
mended. If the cables are shielded, either
the ES or the PE system should be used.
Roxtec BG™ (bonding and grounding)
system provides electrical safety by
handling high currents. It uses a
heavy-duty braid in the sealing
modules to efficiently bond and ground
armored or shielded cables. It has high
current withstand capability for
short-circuit and surge currents.

Roxtec ES Roxtec PE
Roxtec ES system provides electro-
magnetic shielding. It combines a wide
conductive tape with an RF shield in
the sealing modules to block and
divert high frequency radiated and
conducted electromagnetic interfer-
ence (EMI) and pulses (EMP).
Roxtec PE system provides protection
against disturbances carried by the
cable screens or metal pipes. It uses a
wide conductive tape in the sealing
module to cover 360° of the cable
shield providing excellent performance
for EMI applications. Protects against
conducted EMI.
