2. Photographs
When I took my photo's I wanted them to fit the genre as much as possible to do this
I wanted the fashion to fit in; this helped me because the model I used already fitted
the style I wanted to use. She wore a vintage style coat and just looked very casual
which was the feeling I wanted my magazine to have.
When I went out to take the photo's I didn't really have much of a plan of where to
take them but on our way around there was an arch in some brickwork. I decided to
take some photo's here because the brickwork fitted the vintage theme due to the
colours that were represented. Also the lighting was really good as some light hit the
guitar in certain places due to arch blocking some light.
The photo related to the audience as it was a young artist this meant that it reaches
the target audience. A younger model mean that they can associate with the
magazine more.
I wanted to make the photograph's as laid back as possible so I had my model
looking into the distance and make it look like she was casually playing her
instrument. This follows the indie style of photo's as they want them to look as relaxed
as possible and not to posed.
3. Main Header
On my front cover I put the main header in Copperlate Gothic Bold
font. I did it in this font as it is a bold font and stands out a lot from the
page. Also as it's quite bold it would attract the audience in. I also
wanted the main header to be recognized by anyone.
I put it in white as it would stand out even more from the rest of the
page. Also to attract other audience members to the magazine
4. Writing
To try and attract the readers I put certain things in a bolder font or different
colours. This meant that certain words would stand out from the rest e.g.
exclusive. By reading this the audience will want to know what the rest of the
article is about.
The language that I used throughout the magazine and article's in informal
and quite relaxed. This is more so in the double page spread interview as it
is quite laid back, but the readers would want the interview to be this way as
the artist isn't that big in the world yet so she would still feel relaxed in those
sort of situations. Also the audience would want to read it as it gives an incite
into who the person really is.
