2. 1) Using InDesign I started to create my double page spread. I added
in the copy (text) into columns and edited the fonts. I also added a
masthead and a standfirst. On the second page I added a pull quote and
put the image in for the background so that it is an image led page.
3. 2) Next I changed the colours of the fonts to more suitable colours which
would attract the target audience. I also added in a black background so
ensured that the colours I used on top were bright so that they could still be
seen. I also added a drop capital at the start of the article as this is a convention
used in real media products. Furthermore, I added picture and word credits
and another separate image of the artist at the end of the article. I also used
different coloured fonts for the question and answer parts of the article so that
it is clearer for the target audience to read.
4. 3) I Decided to change the masthead so that it used up more room on the
page because there was too much blank space there previously. Existing articles
in music magazines have big chunky titles that take up a lot of the page. I
wanted to ensure that my magazine looked realistic so therefore I made this
change. I also think that it now looks more professional and stands out more on
the page which makes it more eye-catching for the reader.
