knowledge of OHSA 1910 Mechanical Integrity, AWS, ASTM, ASME and
API. Certified Level II in Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle and Liquid
Penetrate inspection and testing of welds. Personally welded and
qualified over 21 welding procedures for certification in accordance with
AWS, ASME, and API. I hold a current Kentucky contractor License for

2. American Synthetic Rubber Corp: 1995 to Present
Position Held – Mechanical Inspector
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage Mechanical Integrity systems to insure code compliance of
process equipment. Perform inspections and testing of pressure vessels,
above ground storage tanks, exchangers, piping systems, relief valves,
boilers and their structured supports.
Inspection methods include: Visual, UT, MT, RT, PT and ET. Assign
inspection frequencies to plant process equipment. Issue written
inspection reports to area managers. Write repair procedures for process
equipment. Manage projects for the replacement and repair of plant
process equipment. Perform detailed Quality assurance inspections of
new replacement equipment. Identify and monitor corrosion of process
systems. Supervise contractors and plant personnel for process
equipment maintenance, repair and inspection. Perform vendor shop
audits for code compliance and construction of new plant process
equipment.
Train welders for certification. Submit yearly equipment repair and
inspection budgets. Assist Engineering in planning yearly outages. Assist
Engineering in the design, construction and material selection of plant

Position Held – Mechanical Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review job specifications for local code compliance. Perform Vendor
shop audits to ensure code compliance with job specifications. Audits
consisted of reviewing weld procedures and welders qualifications for
code compliance, verifying the Vendor’s written Quality Control Program
and reviewing MTRs. Perform Visual and NDE inspections on structural
steel and pressure retaining equipment to ensure code compliance (UT
shear wave of welds, UT thickness of material and heat effected zones,
PT and MT testing of welds. Inspections were conducted at the
fabricators facility and construction sites. Perform inspections of field
erected structures and buildings for local code requirements. Inspections
consisted of structural alignment, fit-up of connections, fasteners, proper
bolt torque and visual inspections of welds for proper placement, length
and size according to field erected drawings. Work closely with shop and
field personnel to ensure code compliance while maintaining time lines of
the construction schedule. Submitted detailed progress inspection
reports and final acceptance reports to clients. Track expenses and
inspection cost to ensure budget cost were maintained. Responsibilities
involved extensive travel.
3. Hicks Equipment: 1985 to 1992
Position Held – First Class Welder and Fitter (Welding Supervisor)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review job specifications. Work from shop drawings and job
specifications to fabricate assemble and erect multi alloy pressure
vessels, exchangers, piping and above ground storage tanks. Perform x-
ray quality welds during fabrication and construction. Qualify new weld
procedures for the shop. Train welders for certification. Supervise shop
and field crews. Complete job travelers for progress tracking. Work within
project scopes to meet budget while maintaining high quality standards
of workmanship.
