Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese artist known for her infinity mirror rooms and use of polka dots in her paintings, sculptures, installations and performances. She began having hallucinations as a young child that are reflected in her artistic obsession with repetition, patterns and the psychology of obsession. Kusama's work has had a significant influence on pop art and contemporary art.
