• When you sluice something you
are actually separating by size
and weight and it is defining and
processing at a beginning just as
they do with gold when sluicing
for bit and pieces. You are
actually separating redundant
material when you are looking
for something specific or
quantified.

4. Starting at the bottom, set the expectations of
What you are looking for like sand, silver, gold
or mineral by washing away any other materials.
The next level up is also washed away and size
of chunk is what is left.
The top level is where you load the your initial
Bulk of material. Keeping in mind you won’t use
Sand when you want dirt and vice versa to sift
From.

9. Although this is a metaphoric way of sorting
and separating knowledge it really is a
way to accomplish a daunting task. Think of
some ways you can funnel and filter your
data. (Sorting cards from paper print. Sorting
Geographically?) What ever the case may be
it can be simplified.

10. When you know specifically what it is you are trying to
define, the machine you build to recognize it will be the
effective modus operandi.
