If you are wanting to go out on a motorcycle tour for some adventure? Well you need to be sure that you have some idea of what you are going to want to do so you don't get bored.
1. How to Plan a Cross-Country Motorcycle Tour
Since you were young, you knew that the open road was for you. To feel the wind in your hair and to
have the asphalt turf just inches away from your feet is both exhilarating and inspirational. No one
should have to wait till they retire to get out on the open road with a motorcycle. Here are some things
you should plan for your cross-country motorcycle tour.
Plan your route
Make sure you know where you are going but most of all make sure you know where you will be
spending your nights on your trip. Camping shouldn’t be your go to every time as it may not be the
most convenient thing to do when there is rain or cold weather coming. It is better to have a
comfortable plan for those times when everything that can go
wrong, does.
Pack the essentials
You aren’t packing a truck so you have to drop all of the things
that you don’t have room for. When we are talking about
things that you don’t have room for, we are really talking
about things that you won’t absolutely need or be able to fit.
For starters you will want your hygiene kit and your survival
equipment. All of the first aid necessities and rain gear that will
get you through the tough times. It is best to plan for the area
that you will be traveling through. If you are planning on going
through Death Valley, you may want to make sure you have
sunscreen and some extra water. Some areas may be pretty
bug intensive.
Security
It is important to think about your security when you are planning your tour. Visibility is your main
security concern when you are out on the open road. One way to become more visible is using a bright
colored helmet that sets you apart from other things along the road. Sometimes it is fun to go off on
your own but when it comes to safety, groups are always better. You never know when you will run into
ruffians along the way. It is just better not to be the lone ranger at times like that. Also make sure you
get your motorcycle insurance in Moreno Valley.
Entertainment
Make sure you have some people to see and places to go along the way. This trip can get really long if
you don’t have a particular to-do list especially when you are going through those fly-over states. There
is a lot of joy to be found in the journey but there is also joy when you take time to stop and smell the
roses as well.
2. Make sure that you are doing all of the essential planning for your trip. Planning can take months and
should be very detailed so you run into the least amount of problems possible. When you get out there
on the open road you will thank yourself for the countless hours you spent going over checklists and
over the maps of the areas you will be passing through.
